Evgeny Magalif

Award winning American composer Eugene MAGALIF (1957) is the author of the music in different genres.Famous soloists and orchestras perform and record his compositions globally. His music features on radio and TV in Europe and the USA, performed at different Festivals and in prestigious concert halls such as Stern Auditorium and Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall, The White House, Rachmaninov Concert Hall etc.
In 2016, Magalif was a guest composer at Sir James Galway Flute Festival in Switzerland. Collaboration with Galway led the music of Magalif to introduce a new series Galway presents published by Keiser/Southern Music (USA). In 2016 soloists from five differentcountries recorded Magalif’s CD Album COLIBRI with DniproPhilharmonic Orchestra (Ukraine). Album COLIBRI, named after composer’s most known work for Flute and Orchestra,received three medals at the GLOBAL MUSIC Awards, San Diego, USA. In October 2016, FLUTE CONCERTO won in Modern Instrumental Music category at the AKADEMIA Music Awards, Los Angeles, USA. In 2018, FLUTE CONCERTO won the «Newly Published Music-2018» competition (USA). The same year, the International Competition for the best performance of the FLUTE CONCERTO had great success. In 2020, flutist A. Haskin recorded double album ENCORE with music of Magalif. In 2023, Magalif was inducted into the AKADEMIA Hall of Fame (USA). In 2022, the composer created UKRAINIAN POTPOURRI. The recorded video featured 32 flute players from 23 countries. This unique project was widely covered by the US and European media. Author’s concerts of the composer took place in Minsk (Belarus); Varna Bulgaria); Moscow (twice), Chita, Saransk (Russia); Dnepr (Ukraine, twice); Washington D.C. (USA). ALRY Publications, KEISER/SOUTHERN Music, HAL LEONARD (USA); FORTON Music (UK) publish music of Magalif.
